- Wash, core, and slice the apples into 1/4-inch thick fries. Peel if desired.
- In a shallow dish or zip-top bag, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Lightly spray apple slices with cooking spray or toss with melted butter. Add them to the sugar mixture and toss until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Place the apple fries in a single layer in the basket, working in batches if necessary.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
