Ingredients

For the Special Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp French Dressing
  • 1 tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 tbsp Minced White Onion
  • 1 tsp White Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
For the Wraps
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 blend recommended
  • 4 Large Flour Tortillas Burrito size
  • 4 slices American Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Iceberg Lettuce
  • 1/4 cup Diced White Onion
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Dill Pickles
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Seeds Optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet
  • 1 Small Bowl
  • 1 Whisk

Method

  1. Make the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients: mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet pickle relish, minced onion, white vinegar, garlic powder, and paprika. Set aside.
  2. Prepare Toppings: Finely dice your white onion, chop the pickles, and shred the iceberg lettuce so they are ready for assembly.
  3. Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef until fully browned. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: Place a slice of American cheese in the center of a tortilla. Top with 1/4 of the cooked ground beef. Drizzle generously with the special sauce, then sprinkle with diced onions, pickles, and shredded lettuce.
  5. Fold and Toast: Fold the sides of the tortilla in, then roll it up tightly like a burrito. Place the wrap seam-side down in a clean skillet over medium heat and toast for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Serve Immediately: Garnish with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds if desired and serve hot.

Notes

Tip 1: For the most authentic flavor, make the special sauce about 30 minutes ahead of time to let the flavors meld together.
Tip 2: Toasting the wrap in a dry skillet is key to getting that perfect crispy exterior, don't skip this step!
