Ingredients

Recipe Ingredients
  • 12 oz Farfalle (Bowtie) Pasta 340g
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 450g, 80/20 or 90/10 blend
  • 1.5 cups Heavy Cream 360ml
  • 0.5 cup Beef Broth 120ml
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese 100g, finely grated
  • 0.25 cup Fresh Parsley 10g, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil 15ml

Equipment

  • 1 Large Skillet Heavy-bottomed preferred for browning.
  • 1 Large pot For boiling pasta.
  • 1 Microplane or Grater For finely grating parmesan.

Method

Prepare Pasta
  1. Boil bowtie pasta in salted water for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
Cook Beef and Sauce
  1. Brown ground beef in olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until savory crumbles form. Drain fat.
  2. Add minced garlic for 1 minute, then deglaze with beef broth. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until thickened.
  3. Whisk in finely grated parmesan until the sauce is smooth, glossy, and light-brown.
Combine and Garnish
  1. Toss the pasta into the sauce. Garnish with more parmesan and fresh parsley flakes before serving.

Notes

Always grate your own parmesan for the smoothest sauce texture.
Keep a splash of pasta water handy to loosen the sauce if it thickens too much while resting.
