- Soak the sliced onion rings in ice water for 10 minutes, then pat dry thoroughly.
- Whisk dry ingredients and toss the dry onion rings in the mixture to create a primer coat.
Fry to Perfection
- Add ice-cold club soda to the remaining flour mix and whisk until just combined.
- Heat oil to 375°F (190°C). Dip rings in batter and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until bubbly and golden-brown.
- Drain on a wire rack and immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt and chopped parsley.
