Ingredients

Materials
  • 1 strand Warm-White LED Fairy Lights Battery-powered (3-6 feet)
  • 0.5 cup Pink Cotton Batting Wispy/fluffed
  • 0.5 cup Sky Blue Cotton Batting Wispy/fluffed
  • 2 count Batteries As required by light strand

Equipment

  • 1 16 oz Clear Glass Mason Jar Standard or wide mouth
  • 1 Silver Metallic Lid Screw-top style
  • 1 Long Tweezers or Dowel For positioning batting

Method

Preparation
  1. Thoroughly clean the 16 oz glass mason jar to ensure it is free of dust and fingerprints, providing a clear view of the glow.
  2. Insert batteries into the LED strand and test the warm-white glow before beginning assembly.
Assembly
  1. Pull the pink and blue batting into thin, wispy clouds. Ensure they are airy and semi-translucent for the best light diffusion.
  2. Start with a blue layer of batting at the bottom. Feed the LED strand through, then add a pink layer. Continue alternating colors while keeping LEDs near the glass walls.
  3. Tuck the battery pack under the silver metallic lid (use tape if needed) and screw the lid on tightly.

Notes

Do not pack the cotton too tightly or the light won't shine through.
Always use LED lights as they do not generate heat, making them safe for use with cotton batting.
