Ingredients
  

For the Stir Fry
  • 1 tbsp Avocado Oil or other high-smoke point oil
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 85/15 or 90/10 recommended
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger freshly grated
  • 6 cups Green Cabbage thinly sliced (about 1/2 medium head)
For the Stir Fry Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch

  • 1 Large Skillet or Wok
  • 1 Small Bowl

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients: low-sodium soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the thinly sliced cabbage to the skillet. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, until the cabbage is tender-crisp.
  5. Pour the prepared sauce over the mixture. Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

Tip 1: Don't overcook the cabbage! It's best when it still has a slight bite to it.
Tip 2: For a complete meal, serve over steamed rice or cauliflower rice.
Tip 3: Leftovers are fantastic for lunch the next day and can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
