Ingredients

Honey Garlic Salmon Bites Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs Salmon Fillets Skin removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch For crispy edges
  • 2 tbsp Avocado Oil High smoke point for searing
  • 1/4 cup Honey Raw or liquid
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce Low-sodium
  • 3 cloves Garlic Finely minced
  • 1 tsp Fresh Ginger Grated
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds For garnish
  • 2 stalks Green Scallions Finely chopped

Equipment

  • 1 Heavy-bottomed Skillet Cast iron or stainless steel preferred for searing.
  • 1 Chef's Knife For uniform cubing.

Method

Prep and Sear
  1. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and cut into 1-inch uniform cubes. Toss with salt, pepper, and cornstarch.
  2. Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Sear salmon cubes for 2-3 minutes per side until charred edges form. Remove from pan.
Glaze and Finish
  1. In the same pan, sauté garlic and ginger for 30 seconds. Add honey and soy sauce, simmering until a thick, translucent amber glaze forms.
  2. Return salmon to the pan and toss to coat. Serve in a bowl topped with a heavy dusting of sesame seeds and green scallions.

Notes

Ensure the pan is very hot before adding salmon to get the charred crust.
Use cold salmon for easier cubing and better texture.
