Ingredients

Sangria Components
  • 1 750ml bottle Moscato Wine Chilled, pale golden variety
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Peach Brandy To fortify flavor
  • 2 large Yellow Peaches Sliced into wedges, skins on
  • 1 cup (150g) Strawberries Hulled and halved
  • 1/2 cup (65g) Red Raspberries Whole and firm
  • 4-6 sprigs Fresh Mint Crisp and green
  • 2-3 cups Clear Ice Cubes Large square cubes preferred

Equipment

  • 1 Tall Glass Pitcher Clear glass for visual impact
  • 1 Long Stirring Spoon To layer fruit gently
  • 1 Paring Knife For precise peach wedges

Method

Fruit Preparation
  1. Thoroughly wash the yellow peaches and slice them into thin, even wedges, keeping the skins on for visual texture and structure.
  2. Hull the strawberries and slice them in half lengthwise. Set the whole raspberries aside, ensuring they remain firm and unbroken.
Pitcher Assembly
  1. Place peach wedges and halved strawberries in the bottom of a tall glass pitcher. Pour in the peach brandy and 1 cup of the Moscato, stirring gently.
  2. Add the clear square ice cubes to the pitcher. This helps suspend the whole raspberries and mint sprigs throughout the liquid.
  3. Pour in the remaining Moscato. Submerge the mint sprigs into the gaps between the ice and fruit. Allow fine beads of condensation to form on the pitcher for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Always use chilled wine to prevent the ice from melting too quickly.
Slap the mint between your hands to release aromatics before adding to the pitcher.
