Ingredients

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough such as Pillsbury Grands!
  • 4 oz low-moisture mozzarella cheese cut into 8 cubes
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce plus more for dipping
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • 1 Small Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the 8 biscuits. Gently flatten each biscuit with your hands into a circle about 3-4 inches wide.
  3. In the center of each flattened biscuit, place a small spoonful of marinara sauce (about 1/2 tsp), 5-6 pepperoni slices, and one cube of mozzarella cheese.
  4. Stretch the dough up and around the filling, pinching the edges together firmly to create a tightly sealed ball. Place the bomb seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Brush the garlic butter mixture over the top of each pizza bomb. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Let the pizza bombs cool for at least 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Do Not Overfill: Be careful not to add too much filling, or the bombs may burst open while baking.
Seal Tightly: Ensure the seams are completely sealed to keep the cheesy goodness inside.
Cheese Choice: Low-moisture mozzarella string cheese cut into pieces also works perfectly and is easy to portion.
