Method
- Lay the thin slices of prosciutto flat on a cutting board or parchment paper, separating them gently to prevent tearing.
- Spread about 1-2 teaspoons of the softened Boursin cheese over one end of a prosciutto slice. Carefully roll the prosciutto up to create a small, neat bundle.
- Repeat the process with the remaining slices of prosciutto and Boursin cheese.
- Arrange the finished prosciutto roll-ups on a serving platter. Garnish with a sprinkle of finely chopped fresh chives and a crack of black pepper. Serve immediately.
Notes
Tip 1: Allow the Boursin cheese to soften at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before you begin. This makes it much easier to spread without tearing the delicate prosciutto.
Tip 2: For the best flavor and texture, use high-quality, paper-thin sliced prosciutto like Prosciutto di Parma.
Tip 3: These can be assembled up to 4 hours ahead. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator and garnish just before serving.
